Top Ten Tuesday #7: Books We Want Under Our Tree

top ten tuesday

Hey guys! It’s time for Top Ten Tuesday, which is currently being run by the lovely Jana over at That Artsy Reader Girl.  We knew instantly that we wanted to take part in this weekly meme because both of us love making list, so this is perfect!

This week’s (December 25th, 2018) topic is:  Books I Hope to Find Under My Christmas Tree This Morning. We decided to pick the topic: Books We Want Under Our Tree.

Since there are two of us running this blog (Melanie and Mireille), we’re going to break these memes up between us and each pick five!

5 books longer

Grimm Lovelies by Megan Shephred
I know this has very mixed reviews but I think it sounds really cool and the cover is just stunning.

Wundersmith: The Calling of Morrigan Crow (Nevermoor #2)  by Jessica Townsend
Obsessed with the first book, so I need this sequel BAD!

Twice Magic (The Wizards of Once #2) by Cressida Cowell
Another middle-grade I really want.  Again, loved the first and can’t wait for the sequel.

The Summer of Salt by Katrina Leno
Not my typical want really since magical realism is really hit or miss with me but this sounds incredible.  I’m surprised I haven’t bought it yet – it’s been fairly costly at my bookstore, so I guess that kept me at bay.

The Soul Keepers by Devon Taylor
This book seems to have gone under the radar completely but it sounds cool af and the cover is badass.

The Boneless Mercies by April Genevieve Tucholke
I need this book. First off the cover is gorgeous, I just love the whole vibe of it. An then we learn that it is about a  band of mercenary girls, where do I sign up?

Empire of Sand by Tasha Suri
I’ve been on the hunt for more Middle-Eastern and Asian inspired fantasies in the last couple of months. This one looks so good and again a great cover.

The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #1) by Rick Riordan
I’ve recently read a couple of the Percy Jackson series for the first time and really enjoyed them. I love this illustrated version and really crossing my fingers that it will be under the tree this year.

Paper Girls Vol 4 by Brian K. Vaughan
This is a great graphic novel series. If you like Stranger Things you would probably like this one. It’s by the very prolific Brian K Vaughan who is just a master story teller.

Ms Marvel Vol 3 by Willow Wilson
This is such a cute and fun grahic novel. I really enjoy how they made the character diverse. Kamala Khan is an absolute joy to see become Ms. Marvel.
