From Sunday June 14th to Saturday June 20th, a campaign was started to help prove to publishing houses that books by black authors do sell and do matter. The campaign asked readers to purchase two books from black authors and I was MORE than happy to oblige. I buy books by authors of color all year round, and I highly encourage that you all consider doing the same. If you have been supporting #blacklivesmatters, please remember that it’s not a trend and it’s not something that you can just do for a month and you’re all set. This is an all year, every year. Also, it’s great if you bought a couple of books this week, but make sure to actually READ THEM and REVIEW THEM!
Alright, you probably are curious as to what I bought. I’m always excited to show any new books coming my way!

It’s been a while since I did one of these and I have hauled piles of books since my last haul. I’m sure I won’t get them all hauled, but I’ll try and get as many hauled over the next couple weeks as possible! Alright, let’s get going…
Continue reading “LARGE Book Haul!”
This haul is long overdue, but I’m finally starting to get my shit together and post all the hauls I’ve had over the last couple months – so look out for more! In June, I got it in my head that this year I’m going to start reading some romantic contemporary. I know – I swear I am not a pod person! I actually don’t have a ton of experience with light contemporary because I’ve never taken much of an interest in it till recently. In June, I went to my local bookstore – Indigo/Chapters and they had a good sale going – buy three books and get one free, so obviously I had to go nuts and spend a couple hundred dollars I didn’t have because I have zero self-control.

Guys, Edelweiss has never been a great source of ebooks to me. Both Mireille and I have been denied over and over for months – to the point where we had mostly given up. We kept an eye on it for the stuff you could download for free without getting approved, since we never got approved. Well. they seem to have changed their system because a lot of reviewers suddenly starting getting approved on the platform! Also, a massive change was Macmillian started letting Canadians request on the platform – before we couldn’t, so that was very exciting! At some point we’ll likely to a post on our experiences with both Netgalley and Edelweiss with tips and stuff but we are still a little new at it – especially with Edelweiss.

As always, I’ve had little to no control on my buying books again this time around. I’m a complete hoarder when it comes to books, but I have no regrets! I love being surrounded by beautiful things and what is more beautiful than a load of books everywhere? NOTHING! Just a note, that I have not included any arcs or graphic novels I’ve gotten recently – those will show up in another haul. Andddd with that, let’s get into this haul!
Continue reading “Large Book Haul – Over 30 Books”
These are some books I accumulated back in January and am just getting to them now. I did not include some books that I got in January from Bookoutlet because I already hauled them on here and you can see that post HERE. I also got a lot of graphic novels during this month, so I’m doing a separate post later for those. January was my birthday month, so a lot of the books were gifts.

It’s that time again, hauling some more Bookoutlet books – 19 in all! This site has always been a weakness for me because of the low prices and good quality. I’ve been trying to get a lot pickier with what I buy on there, but they’ve been getting in a bunch of newer things lately that I don’t have so alas, I have another haul. I may have made yet another order yesterday, but I don’t want to talk about it *hides in shame*

I finally got my pictures organized for my Christmas haul! These were all presents from friends and family. My birthday is actually in January, so I’ll have another one then! Yay books! I got lots of awesome books in for Christmas and now I want to read them all – at the same time. #firstworld problems
Ok, let’s get this haul on it’s way!
Continue reading “Christmas Book and Funko Haul 2018!”
