Popculture Readaton TBR

1500x500

Ok everyone, where are my 90s people? I’m literally stuck in the 90s – I was a 80s/90s kid and 90s is my obsession.  It’s completely my era and most of my favorite movies and music comes from it.  No shame! When I heard that Whitney from bookswhitme was hosting a readathon based on the freaking 90s, I just about fell off my chair and then proceeded to go blast some Spice Girls while I geeked over all the challenge boards.

It’s a Bingo board, so you only have to do one line to complete it BUT you are allowed to do as many as you’d like and I’m going to be extra I think and attempt to complete a full card.

You can find all the information on Twitter at @PopCReadathon  – they also have a discord channel, so you can go chat with everyone while you play all month! The readathon starts tomorrow (July 1st) and goes till the end of the month.

There are four boards to pick from and I obviously am going for Thrill Ride because I would be betraying my horror roots to go with anything else.  I’ve seen all these movies many times over (except Blair Witch because not a fan), so I couldn’t pick just a few challenges.  I need to represent all of theseeeee! I will say that there is  A LOT of Neve Campbell happening on this board and I’m not even mad about it! Alright, so let’s get this TBR list started.  This is SUPER tenative because I don’t do tbr lists right now, but we’ll see how it goes.  I’m sure half of it will change though lol

These are the three other awesome boards you can choose from.  I almost wanted to do a line from Family Affair, but I decided to not get too crazy.  Now and Then and My Girl are a couple of my favorite childhood movies though and look at little Wednesday Addams – ok done fangirling!

  1. I’m doing the whole Thrill Ride board too. I already had my July TBR picked out and all of the books I picked fit the prompts from that board.

  2. This sounds so fun! I don’t know if I’ll make an official TBR, but I might try to see what I read that fits with these prompts. So cool. 🙂
