Hey guys! It’s time for Top Ten Tuesday, which is currently being run by the lovely Jana over at That Artsy Reader Girl. We knew instantly that we wanted to take part in this weekly meme because both of us love making list, so this is perfect!
This week’s (November 5th, 2019) topic: Books That Give Off Autumn Vibes. Let’s get to it.
Small Spaces by Katherine Arden
It takes place in Autumn and the atmosphere is on-point. I adored this book and the cover gives me all the Fall vibes as well.
Rules for Vanishing by Kate Alice Marshall
Another perfect read for the Fall time. I read this last month (review coming soon!) and completely loved it. It’s really eerie and would be perfect for a dark, rainy night.
Language of Thorns by Leigh Bardugo
Maybe it’s the forest-like feel of the cover, or maybe it’s just that fairytales give me that cozy feeling, but this is another book I love for the autumn time.
Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson
Another book with “thorns” in the title, what is up with me and thorns? Anyway, in the Fall (and Winter) – I like to get down with a lot of fantasy and this book is all atmosphere. It’s also a darker fantasy book, so perfect for this time of year!
Enchantment of Ravens by Margret Rogerson
Yep, I’m including both Margaret’s books on my list. This one is focused on the fae and is a much lighter story that can honestly be read any time of the year, but the cover and gives me autumn feels all day long, so I’m going with it. Also, how does she get the best covers ever?
The Graces by Laure Eve
This one is still on my TBR but I’ve always felt that witches’ stories are better in Autumn. Plus that cover is so gorgeous and with the orange, it just reminds me of the colour of leaves when they start to turn.
Jackaby by William Ritter
Since we live in North America I always associate Autumn with Halloween. There is something about Autumn that makes me want to read ore atmospheric and mystery reads. Jackaby is perfect for both.
The Devouring Gray by Christine Lynn Herman
I know I rec this book a lot but I just love it so much and can’t wait for the next one to come out. The cover alone gives me such an autumn feel with the leafless trees plus it’s perfect for around Halloween.
The Lantern’s Ember by Colleen Houck
This one is also still on my TBR but this cover is just the epitome of Autumn vibes. It screams Halloween to me and the changing of a season.
Strange Grace by Tessa Gratton
This is purely based on the cover and the synopsis since this is also one that is on my TBR. The leaves falling and the tree in the background are perfect for the season.
