June 2019 Wrap-Up!

June is over and with it Pride month! We both read queer books all year round, so that is nothing new for us but we really did focus on them this month, as well as celebrate them extra.  We had a pretty good reading month overall.  Let’s get to it!

I read 13 books this month because I DNF’d one.  Overall a good month, very varied in the ratings but I enjoyed most of them.  A lot of the three star ratings were still quite enjoyable for me.  Hopefully I can have a repeat of this next month!

I am really happy with my month reads. I would’ve wished to fit one more in but just didn’t have the time. All of these have LGBTQ+ rep except one. Fingers crossed that July is as good a reading month as June.

King of Fools by Amanda Foody *** ⇒ Read review HERE
Heart of Iron by Ashley Poston ***
Waiting for Tom Hanks by Kerry Winfrey **1/2 ⇒ Read review HERE
We Set the Dark on Fire by Tehlor Kay Mejia *****
