officialsummertwitterheader

Alright, it’s wrap-up time.  We didn’t get as many done as we had hoped but we still got a few knocked out between us, so we’ll take it!

This read-a-thon was being hosted by five wonderful ladies:

Amy from AcourtofCrownsandQuills – Heather from Bookables – Jen from PinotandPages – Aimee from AimeeReads – Melanie from MeltotheAny

.
➽ 6. Drink your favourite summer drink while reading

Laura Dean Keeps Breaking Up With Me by Mariko Tamaki
Yes! I did read this one and I really enjoyed it.  4 Stars! You can see my mini review of it HERE.

Overall, I got a couple books read and a graphic novel.  Not my best reading week, but not bad either.  I haven’t been feeling great this week and I just didn’t have a lot of motivation in me.  I also had a couple hundred pages left of another book when I started this challenge, so I finished that up first as well.  Ah well – hope I can do better next time!

  1. Wow you both did great, and it looks like you enjoyed everything you read, too! 😀 I completely failed at this readathon, which I’m very sad about, but it’s proved that I am right when I say I prefer month-long readathons – I find week-long readathons too stressful! I really want to check out Let’s Talk About Love; I want to read more books with ace rep. 🙂

    1. I’m not really great at week-long ones either. If I don’t have time for a couple days then it throws me completely off my game. I did better on this one than I normally do. I’m much more of a month long challenge girl – probably why we only run month long ones lol

Mir will def be reading and reviewing a lot more books with ace rep in the future as an ownvoice reviewer! I’m excited to see what she thinks of them.

  2. Ahhh, I really wanted to participate in this readathon, but sadly it occurred once school started, so I knew that I probably would not be able to get to any of the books I put on my tbr :(( It sounds like you guys did so great though! I’m so happy that it seems like you enjoyed most of the books you read! Also, it seems like everyone has been reading Jack of Hearts (and other parts) and loving it recently, so I should probably just get the message and add it to my tbr ahaha!

    1. Thank you so much! Ah school! I can’t say I miss it but I didn’t get much reading done when I was in school at all lol Except lots of text books! Jack of Hearts was really fun, the sex talk is super graphic but I was totally into the sex positive vibes it had going. Really funny as well.
