June 2019 Owlcrate Unboxing (Spoilers)

owlcrate book box

It’s that time again! This month the theme is Libraries of Wonder.  I was pretty excited for this one because I knew what the book would be and I was looking forward to seeing what kind of changes they might make to the cover.  Also, they announced we would be getting Narnia book-ends, so I knew this box would be a winner right there! Alright, let’s tear into this thing!

This box was packed to the brim this month! I guess it is most months, but it felt extra heavy this month!

Sorcery of Thorns Signed Exclusive Cover Owlcrate Edition: I love this so freaking much.  The original green look stunning but I’m digging this purple more I must say.  Owlcrate doesn’t really get any say in the cover changes but the publishers did a great job here! The signature page also looks fantastic!

Narnia Metal Bookends: Perfect! I’m a big Narnia fan and I love the little lamp post in the middle and the design around it is beautiful.  I took a shot from the side as well, so you can see that the designs carries right down to the bottom.  These are very sturdy.  I love that they included two because so many book boxes only include one and then you have to buy the next box to get the second one! I def have use for these!

Library of Wonder Coaster Set: These beautiful cork coasters are based on books and libraries from various authors.  I believe the authors are Victoria Schwab, Sarah J. Maas, Rachel Caine and J.K. Rowling.  I love these – the font and design are so pretty.  I just have to figure out how to display them because if I use them, my dogs will just make chew dogs out of them LOL

MiscOc (1)

Key Pen: Cute little pen shaped as a key

Book Beau Coffee: The roast is called Belle’s Library and is described as nutty.  I actually don’t drink coffee, so I’ll pass this one to my dad.

Sorcery of Thorns Sticker: Just a big sticker – I’ll throw it on my book planner.

Monthly OC Enamel Pin: This one is so freaking cute, it says, “Child of the Library.”  I think of us will relate to that quote.

Bag (1)

Strange the Dreamer Tote Bag: Really pretty.  One of my favorites that I’ve gotten from them for sure.  It’s also very high quality and quite big, which is always great.

5 books longer

Overall, I thought they hit it out of the park this month and I basically loved everything in here.  I know next month we are getting our third Potter mug in a series they have been doing over the last year, so I’m super excited about that!

Did you get June’s Owlcrate box? What was your overall opinion? Let me know in the comments below!

  1. I have to disagree on the cover. This is my second OwlCrate box and I love everything else, but the purple looks super sloppy. Like there’s just a random blob of purple? The color change could’ve been good, but theres like purple in the hair too.

Everything, including hte book itself, was great, but I personally feel the cover couldve been done better

    1. I can completely understand that and I have heard a couple people mention it. I don’t love that the hair got colored over – that def is sloppy. I still really like the cover but your criticisms are totally valid and on point.

I’m glad you liked the items though!

    1. Bookends are so costly. I was actually in the market for a set and even like really basic boring ones were like over $20 and really nice ones were like $80 or more. It was insane, so that was a great value item in the box I thought. Glad you enjoyed it too!
