Hey guys! It’s time for Top Ten Tuesday, which is currently being run by the lovely Jana over at That Artsy Reader Girl. We knew instantly that we wanted to take part in this weekly meme because both of us love making list, so this is perfect!
This week’s (June 18th, 2019) topic is: Most Anticipated Releases of the Second Half of 2019.
Girls of Shadow and Storm (Girls of Paper and Fire #2) by Natasha Ngan
Girls of Paper and Fire made my top ten list last year, so obviously I’m dying to get my hands on this one. I can’t wait to see what is in store for us next.
Gideon the Ninth (The Ninth House #1) by Tamsyn Muir
I don’t know a ton about this one but I know it has lesbian necromancers, two things I very much enjoy in my fantasy. On top of that MeltoAny has been raving about it, so SOLD! I do have an earc of this one, hopefully I can get to it sooner than later.
Wilder Girls by Rory Powers
I’m going to cry if this book disappoints me because it’s in my top five most anticipated this year for sure. I’m dying to read this one – just another month!
Tunnel of Bones (Cassidy Blake #2) by Victoria Schwab
Schwab is my queen! I loved City of Ghosts and it’s not secret that I adore middle-grade, so this was easy to put on the list this week.
Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo
I’m really excited about Bardugo going into the adult category. I can’t wait to see what she does over there. I know we are getting vampires in this – it seems to be quite a few authors are going to be bringing vamps back to the spotlight this fall. I feel like I’m ready for the trend to come back, but I really hope they don’t sparkle – AT ALL. I want them MEAN!
The Merciful Crow by Margaret Owen
This one has been on my radar for awhile now and I am so happy that I got the arc and will be on the blog tour next month. Can’t wait to start it.
Darkdawn by Jay Kristoff
I’m pretty sure that you guys must be tired to hear me talk about this book and Jay Kristoff, but it is my number one most anticipated book of the year. I’m not ready for it to be over.
Wayward Son by Rainbow Rowell
Another one of a highly anticipated book, I might have squealed when I learned we were getting a second Simon Snow book.
Tarnished Are the Stars by Rosie Thor
I just learned about this book a couple months ago and think it looks so interesting. Also it seems to have an ace rep which I am here for.
Gravemaidens by Kelly Coone
Everything about this books appeals to me from the cover to the story, I just need it now. For real how gorgeous is the cover?
What are some of your most anticipated yet to be released books? Let us know in the comments!
Gravemaidens is definitely high on my list of anticipated reads!

Well, it seems like it will have some really heavy/involved magical systems and world building so I can def understand that. I’m super excited for MC as well.

Don’t really know anything about your anticipated reads… but I did just see someone on YouTube mention “Merciful Crow.” Hope you enjoy it – and all of these!! 🙂

Pretty much anything horror related hits my radar and makes my most anticipated but this one has me really excited. I’m a little worried it won’t be as good as it sounds but I’m staying positive.

I didn’t actually know anything about Gideon the Ninth but female necromancers automatically makes this a book to look out for!

Congrats on the Merciful Crow arc! I know Mireille is on the blog tour for that one and she’s so excited! It looks fantastic! Oh no, I am hearing mixed things about Wilder Girls so I’m hoping I’m on the love side – I do like a weirder book but we shall see…

This list is basically my list honestly. But I’ve never heard of gravemaidens before?? And now I’m so intrigued.
I screamed inside when I heard that a sequel to Carry On was announced. And I sadly didn’t love GOPAF as much as everyone else, but I’m so excited for GOSAS because I think it could be an improvement, plus the cover is gorgeous! This is such a mood! I *am* gonna cry if wilder girls disappoints because I’ve had my fair share of disappoints already this year & the cover for it is so pretty & I can’t possibly be disappointed by something that gorgeous:((

I think Girls Of got quite a bit of mixed reviews. It was everything I personally wanted but I totally get why some didn’t love it. I def think the second will be a lot more action though and satisfy a lot more people – at least I hope!
I’m so going to throw myself onto my bed and pout if Wilder GIrls isn’t everything I need it to me. I can’t deal with that disappointment – I might just curl up in the fetal position and going into deep denial. You can join me if you need to LOL

I’m also really curious about Wilder Girls. I know I will want Darkdawn (need to read the first two though, I know I’m ashamed) and Girls of Storms and Shadow. There are just way too many books releasing!! I need more time!

Those are some really interesting books on your list! Melanie; Gideon the Ninth is one of te books I put on my TTT list as well. So excited about it! And Ninth House is on my to read. The other ones look really interesting as well! Hope you’re going to love them when they release and you get to read them.
Mireille;
A lot of books I wasn’t familiar with yet. The merciful crow looks really good! Darkdawn would’ve probably ended up on my own list if I’d finished reading Nevernight and Godsgrave already but at this point I’ll just wait for the release of Darkdawn so I can binge read it all haha. Tarnished are the stars looks really interesting and Gravemaidens as well! Happy reading in advance!
