Yes, I do enjoy rereading books, but I don’t always do it because my physical TBR is probably 700+ books deep right now and it’s really never ending. Last year I decided that there is no way I’ll ever get all my books read, so I should let myself enjoy them and if I loved a book enough to read it more than once, great! I’m also someone that, even if I love a book, forgets half the stuff a year later so I have to go back and reread so I can continue on in a series – that frequently is the case. I’ve broken down the likelihood it is that I’ll get to these rereads – I might be being a little optimistic, we shall see!
I have already reread a couple books this year. I’ve read Caraval and Legendary by Stephanie Garber and Wizards of Once by Cressida Cowell.
Royal Bastards by Andrew Schvarts
I’m hoping to finish out this series this year, but my memory is only so-so about the first book, so I’ll be rereading this one.
Likelihood of reread? 80% chance
The Cruel Prince by Holly Black
Ok, this one wasn’t planned. I had planned to wait till next year to even start The Wicked King because I didn’t want a bad book hangover and a cliffhanger to deal with but NOOOOOO….. Holly has announced that Queen of Nothing will be released this year, so I guess that means I’m doing this series this year.
Likelihood of reread? 100% chance
Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi
I remember a good deal of what happens in this one but I’d still like to reread to go into the next installment in the trilogy. Maybe I’m just making an excuse to read it again because I loved it so much, it made my top ten last year. I really hope I don’t let this series sit till it’s done, but that is super typical of me.
Likelihood of reread? 50% chance
A Touch of Gold by Annie Sullivan
This is a really cool King Midas retelling with freaking pirates! It’s about King Midas’s daughter and I had so much fun with it. I had planned to read it twice last year but didn’t get the chance – hopefully I can sneak it in this year!
Likelihood of reread? 60% chance
Wicked Saints by Emily A Duncan
Yes, I already read this THIS YEAR. I don’t care! It’s already one of my favorite books – it’s so freaking good. I just want to go back to that dark Gothic world and see some blood mages battling it out! Leave me be!
Likelihood of reread? 80% chance
Nevermoor by Jessica Townsend
This one is currently happening. TBR and Beyond group is doing a group read for this book and the sequel, so it was the perfect excuse for a reread of this fantastic book.
Likelihood of reread? 100% chance
Campfire by Shawn Sarles
I plan to give this one a reread in October because I read this one fairly fast and in between a lot of other stuff going on in my life and my focus was just really off. I know I had fun with it but I really don’t remember much – I just wasn’t in the right state of mind, so I want to go on this little camp trip again and get some fun 90s horror action.
Likelihood of reread? 80% chance
Do you guys reread at all? Any books you plan on doing rereads for this year? Let me know in the comments below! I can’t be the only one!
I never make time to reread but really need to! This month I’m planning to reread Red, White & Royal Blue even though I just read it last month 😂😂

I hear nothing but good things about that one, I can’t wait to get to it! It must be good if you want to read it again already lol

For the most part, I only re-read when I want to continue the series, and I always feel like I forget important details! I love when I can read a series from start to finish without waiting in between books!

Oh there’s definitely quite a few MG books that are a comfort reread for me! Nevermoor is definitely one of them!

I’ve decided towards the end of the year/into next year I’m going to do a full re-read of the entire Shadowhunter universe. I’m going to read in chronological order based on a timeline on Cassandra Clare’s website. MIGHT be a bit ambitious, but I’m do for a reread of her stuff, hahah.

I sometimes have to reread books when I’m reading a sequel and can’t remember the first book, but I don’t have as much time as I’d like to reread my favorites

Same, or at least I guess I don’t make as much time as I would like to reread them. I always have so many ARCS on the go and new releases that I just kind of keep moving on. It’s nice to go back sometimes though and relive a fond story.

I just read “Children of Blood” for the very first time and I’m planning to read “The Cruel Prince” too! 🙂 As for rereads, I have a couple planned this year. Right now I’m rereading ACOTAR and “The Picture of Dorian Gray” and I love those rereads even more than I thought I would. XD

Oh that is great. I hope you enjoyed it! I loved that one. I really want to do a reread of the ACOTAR series but I doubt it will happen this year, but maybe next since the fourth book is suppose to come out. We shall see!

I don’t re-read much unless I can’t remember the previous book’s story when I want to jump into its sequel. These are really great reads! I loved Touch Of Gold, Wicked Saints, COBAB, and The Cruel Prince!

I can’t remember enough details constantly so that is my reason like 80% of the time. I can usually remember the jist of it but I can never recall all the characters. Even with favorite books, once you read so much it all starts meshing together lol

I definitely reread. Usually Pride and Prejudice, Harry Potter, and any Kate Morton book!

I don’t have much time for it anymore actually. But before book blogging, I used to reread my favorites A LOT. I’d say at least once a year for all of my most beloved series.

Yeah, I don’t make as much time for it because of blogging and my bookclub but it’s nice when I can.

I’m the same way—even though I have a boatload of books to read I have the memory of a goldfish and can’t remember what happened in the last book, so I need to reread before I continue with a series. It helps me enjoy the next book better too 🙂 I’m going to reread The Cruel Prince soon hopefully!

Haha I’m so glad someone gets me. It has nothing to do with my love of a book – it’s just a bad memory for details. I can remember the overall stuff but I like to remember all the little things too and the character names. I have been holding off on more and more books till they finish because I have to reread to continue so often lol Yay! Cruel Prince!

Yeah, I try to wait for series to finish before I read them all. It’s so hard to avoid spoilers though.

I love doing rereads! I’m hoping to get to some of my favourite series this summer, The Winner’s Curse and The Penderwicks! It has been quite a while since I’ve read them!
I actually just read The Cruel Prince for the first time and really enjoyed it! I’m gonna wait a bit before I read The Wicked King so I have to wait less for The Queen of Nothing hehehe

I’m going to be doing my reread of Cruel Prince probably in September maybe since Queen of NOthing is coming out in November. I’ll get them done before that lol I haven’t read either of those books but they book look great! Penderwicks looks adorable!

I don’t re-read much nowadays as I want to, which is shame because I pick up on so many new things on my 2nd (or even 3rd and 4th) read. And I REALLY should find some time to squeeze in Wicked Saints–I’ve heard nothing but good things about it!

I’ve never read any of them. I hope you get to re-read them all. I started a re-read last month of a book but with so many on my TBR list I am only about half way through and going slow.

I’m the same way, it doesn’t matter how much I loved a book I’ll always forget most of it within a few months! Re-reading isn’t something I do often, but I love when I do.
