Top Ten Tuesday #14: Favorite Couples

Hey guys! It’s time for Top Ten Tuesday, which is currently being run by the lovely Jana over at That Artsy Reader Girl.  We knew instantly that we wanted to take part in this weekly meme because both of us love making list, so this is perfect!

This week’s (February 12th, 2019) topic is:  Favorite Couples

Since there are two of us running this blog (Melanie and Mireille), we’re going to break these memes up between us and each pick five!

Feyre and Rhysand, A Court of Thorns and Roses Series by Sarah J. Maas
I don’t really feel like there is a ton to say about these two.  They are YA couple royalty and I live for it.

Alossa and Riden, Daughter of the Pirate King by Tricia Levenseller
I really wish there was more fanart and such on these two.  They are so much fun to read about. What makes them one of  my all-time faves though? That banter baby, it’s top notch and makes me so happy.

Jane and G, My Lady Jane by Cynitha Hand, Brodi Ashton and Jodi Meadows.
My love for this book knows no bounds! This book is perfection and the romance makes me blush every time.  Again, it’s that amazing banter that has me in love with this one as well.  I’m a sucker for hate to love relationships.

Paige and the Warden, The Bone Season
I’m not sure if this one is a little more controversial, since The Warden was Paige’s captor, but there is a lot more going on than meets the eye and LET ME BE – I like problematic romances sometimes! I can’t help it.  I just love these two and need more.

Scarlett and Wolf, The Lunar Chronicles
I think the most popular are Cress and Thorne, whom I also adore but I’ve always been more of a sucker for Scarlett and Wolf.  They beat a lot of crazy odds and the loyalty and love that Wolf shows Scarlett gives me the warm and fuzzies.

Mia and Ashlinn, Nevernight Chronicles by Jay Kristoff
I could not not put these two on this list.

Feyre and Rhysand, A Court of Thorn and Roses Series by Sarah J Maas
Melanie and I are doubling up on this one. They are just perfect for each other. I love how into each other they are.

Simon and Baz, Carry On by Rainbow Rowell
I live for this couple, that’s it I have nothing more to say.

Eelyn and Fiske, Sky in the Deep by Adrienne Young
I love how this relationship grew. I feel like they match each other in the end.

Kaz and Inej, Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
This is my OTP, these two are just perfect for each other. I need more books about Kaz and Inej, please Leigh Bardugo make it happen.

What are your favourite couples? Do you agree with any of ours?

  1. I *still* need to read the Lady Janies books, but am always so glad to see when people fangirl for them; makes me all the more excited to read them. 🙂 Thanks so much for the Finding Wonderland visit, Melanie.

  2. Yes indeed! I have Scarlet + Wolf, Kaz + Inez, and Simon + Baz on my TTT also! And I need to read Daughter of the Pirate King for sure.

  3. So many books I need to start! I’m on the waiting list for ACOTAR and I plan to start reading The Grisha Verse books next week, so I’m working on it. I bought the Lunar Chronicles when they were on sale over Black Friday weekend too, I just need to make time to read it.

  4. I recently read A Little Christmas Faith by Kathryn Freeman and liked the MC couple: Faith Watkins and Adam Hunter. Yes it was a festive romance, but I felt it could be read at any time of the year. Plus Faith had a pair of cute dogs she named Nip and Tuck, which still bring a smile to my face.

  5. Yay Feyre and Rhysand! And I have both Lunar pairings in my list as well 🙂 However, I just don’t feel it with Kaz & Inej and nor with Eelyn and Fiske.

  6. I’ve only read A Court of Thorns and Roses, but even back at the beginning I could sense that I’d end up getting overly invested in Rhysand and Feyre. I really need to carry on reading the series, but the second book is just so big and that totally intimidates me.

  7. One of my favourite book couples is Nick and Shaya. Wolf shifters from the Phoenix Pack and Mercury pack series’ by Suzanne Wright. In fact my German Shepherd is called Shaya.

  8. YAAAAS! Feyre and Rhys are a royal OTP! Now I want to reread ACOTAR again!
I still need to read Daughter of the Pirate King and My Lady Jane, but if there is amazing banter then I need to get to them quick!
    Happy Reading Guys! ❤

  9. All of these series/books are on my TBR, so this makes me sooo excited to read them. (Except for ACOTAR, which I already adore.)

  10. I have only read a few of the books on your list this week! That said, there’s still a bit of overlap… It also reminds me that I still need to pick up Daughter of the Pirate King…
