Hey guys! It’s time for Top Ten Tuesday, which is currently being run by the lovely Jana over at That Artsy Reader Girl. We knew instantly that we wanted to take part in this weekly meme because both of us love making list, so this is perfect!
This week’s (December 18th, 2018) topic is: Winter TBR 2018. We decided to pick the topic: Winter TBR
Since there are two of us running this blog (Melanie and Mireille), we’re going to break these memes up between us and each pick five!
The Chronicles of Narnia by CS Lewis
I’ve read the series before but I’ve been really wanting to do a reread for awhile. Hopefully this winter will finally be the time.
Stalking Jack the Ripper Series by Kerri Maniscalco
I’ve read the first book and fully intended to read the the second and third in the series over Halloween 2018, but it never happened. I’m determined to get it done this winter.
Six of Crows Duology by Leigh Bardugo
I know, I know! I even set up a group read in TBR and Beyond for this one and still never managed to get it read. It will 100% happen in 2019.
Nevermoor/Wundersmith by Jessica Townsend
Nevermoor was one of my favorite reads in 2018 and I’m so excited to read the sequel. I plan on doing a reread of Nevermoor first though!
Daughter of the Burning City by Amanda Foody
We have Amanda coming to visit us for a live chat in the TBR and Beyond group and we’ll be reading Ace of Shades that month, but I really want to make sure I’ve read her first book as well. It’s been sitting on my shelf for awhile now and it looks so good.
The Broken Earth Trilogy by NK Jemisin
I have been wanting to read this series for a long time, I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about it. Can’t wait to get started on it
The City of Brass by SA Chakraborty
Again, another one I’ve been seeing around. I always enjoy reading heavy fantasy in the Wintertime.
When Summer Ends by Jessica Pennington
I loved Jessica’s first novel and can’t wait to dig into this one. Probably perfect for February and Valentine’s Day.
And I Darken series by Kiersten White
I’ve been putting off reading this series for the last year not because I’m not interested but only because I’ve been distracted by other books. So this Winter it’s happening.
Beneath the Citadel by Destiny Soria
I am so so so excited for this one. Based on the synopsis I just know I will love it. Plus the author is coming for a Live Chat in the TBR and Beyond group, YAY!
Ooh fabulous picks! A Narnia re- read sounds so fun, and Daughter of the Burning City I’ve wanted to get for a while. The city of Brass looks great too!

YES. So many good options to choose from, both of you. I need to get to a lot of these two. I will say that AND I DARKEN is so, so good and I think you’ll really enjoy it! I know I did.

I’m the same with getting to the sequels to Jack the Ripper, I’ve been waiting for the library to have it for a year, one day!
And I Darken is so good! I definitely recommend it.

I’m doing a readalong of City of Brass at the moment. Got And I Darken when it was on sale earlier this year… still mean to read it. I want to read Six of Crows too, but I want to read the original Grisha Verse books first.
2019 is going to be a great year for books!

Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thanks!

I do that too, I put books away sometimes cause I’m not in the mood or need to finish something else and it has nothing to do with my enjoyment of the book.

Stalking Jack the Ripper is so good! I did like Hunting Prince Dracula even more, which is unusual for the second book in a series. Also, I still need to read Crooked Kingdom, which I’m hoping to do soon! Hopefully, you enjoy them both and the rest of your Winter TBR

Great picks! Not to put too much pressure, but the Six of Crows duology is amazing. Probably best books you`ll read all year, no hype.
